Dangerous goods under ADR
Basic course
- Who it is for
- Drivers of vehicles over 3.5 t carrying dangerous goods as packages or in bulk (except classes 1 and 7); tank containers, portable tanks or MEGCs up to 3 m³ individual capacity; demountable tanks up to 1 m³; battery vehicles up to 1 m³ total capacity.

- 19 × 45 minutes plus a 45-minute examination

Tank specialisation course
- Who it is for
- Drivers of tank containers, portable tanks or MEGCs over 3 m³ individual capacity; fixed or demountable tanks over 1 m³; battery vehicles over 1 m³ total capacity.

- 13 × 45 minutes plus a 45-minute examination, the same for every class

Refresher course
- Who it is for
- Any driver renewing an ADR certificate, including classes 1 and 7.
- Duration
- 8 × 45 minutes plus a 45-minute examination — one day
- Prerequisite
- a valid or expiring ADR certificate
Your ADR certificate is valid for five years. You may attend the refresher course from twelve months before it expires; the renewal then runs for five years from the current certificate’s expiry date, so you lose no time. If the certificate has already expired, you have to take the basic course again.
Dangerous-goods consulting
Companies involved in transporting dangerous goods by rail, road, water or air must formally appoint at least one dangerous-goods safety adviser. We can act as your external dangerous-goods safety adviser. We also advise on the storage, production and transport of dangerous goods.

Under the German employers’ liability insurance rules, every business must restrict work with these machines to trained operators. Our courses build the knowledge and skill required, grounded in the physics involved and in the accident-prevention regulations.

In consultation with your funding body we deliver, among other things:

We are AZAV-certified as a provider of vocational further training; our quality-management system was first audited and assessed in October 2007. If your training is funded by the employment agency, the Jobcenter or another body, get in touch early and we will work through the paperwork with you.
